Description Papers of Chauncey J. Dunday, a Korean War veteran from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin who was active in both the Korean War Veterans Memorial Association of Wisconsin and the Disabled American Veterans. Materials relate entirely to his activities as a veteran, primarily with the two groups mentioned above. Dunday served as president of the Korean War Veterans Memorial Association of Wisconsin and was integral in the construction and dedication of a Korean War memorial in Plover. Program materials and a newspaper clipping relate to the memorial. Also included are a list of Wisconsinites killed in the Korean War and a list of Wisconsin prisoners of war from the conflict. Materials from two national conventions of the Disabled American Veterans give a good idea of their activities, while some pamphlets and brochures show their areas of concern. Photographs consist of unidentified pictures from the unveiling of the Korean War Memorial in Plover, Wisconsin.
