|Description||Scattered materials concerning the military and war-related service of the Malnar, Krultz, and Zukowski families kept by Robert (a retired Wisconsin legislator) and Dolores Zukowski (nee Malnar) of Thorp, Wisconsin. Mrs. Zukowski typed one-page information sheets for Peter A. Zukowski (most likely Robert's father), brother-in-law Mike Krultz, Jr, and Matt Malnar (Mrs. Zukowski's father). A series of captioned black and white photograph postcards, presumably purchased by Peter Zukowski during his World War I service overseas, include images of damaged airplanes and war-related destruction. Two certificates address the home front service of Matt Malnar and cite his work with the Wisconsin Volunteer War Service Committee and the War Finance Program during World War II. Materials pertaining to the World War II service of Krultz include a newspaper account of his unit's night rescue of a soldier wounded at Bataan and colorful printed postcards with patriotic and humorous military themes, three of which carry messages from Krultz to Dolores Malnar.|
