Tintype of two unidentified Wisconsin Civil War soldiers, both wearing the state-issued five-button sack coat. One soldier is posing while holding a derringer pistol and the other is holding an officers' sword, but is not an officer. Both soldiers are not identified to a particular regiment, which could be the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, or 17th Wisconsin Infantry Regiments. The case was made by Holmes, Booth, and Haydens' Company, Waterbury, Connecticut.
