|Description||Certificates relating to the military service and veteran activities of James F. Burns, who served with the 150th Field Artillery during World War I. A decorative certificate with a white-robed woman representing Colombia acknowledges his World War I service. Another certificate from the Wisconsin State Council of Defense appointed Burns to a leadership position in the civil defense of Milwaukee County during World War II. His service on the board of the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs is documented by three separate certificates. Finally the American Legion, Department of Wisconsin recognized his 43 years of service to the organization with a certificate.|
