Black and white photographs taken at Camp Douglas by Walter L. Rae, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin resident who served in the Wisconsin National Guard in 1920. Rae enlisted in Troop B, 1st Wisconsin Cavalry Regiment in May 1920 and was honorably discharged in December, 1920. The images were taken during Rae's training at Camp Douglas and show an airplane in flight, scenery, soldiers, and tents. Included on the back of each photograph Rae wrote brief descriptive information. Three images of interest include one of solders drilling; one of Major Quills' child in uniform and another of Bugler Herring caught doing a somersault.
