|Description||Papers and photographs of John R. Prindle, Jr., a soldier in the Army during the Vietnam War. The majority of the collection consists of Prindle's military papers, including orders, medical and pay records, certificates, and training materials. These document the details of his military service from enlistment through discharge. Other materials include several letters written to Prindle by family and friends during his military service; the letters describe conditions at home and two letters from friends in the service briefly describe their experiences. A sketch by a Vietnamese artist presumably shows Prindle. Most of the photographs are official Army shots and depict various activities at Fort Carson, Colorado. There is a small picture of an Asian woman who Prindle probably met while serving overseas.|
