|Description||Souvenirs, newspaper clippings, photographs, memorabilia, and Air Force convention materials of Colvin, a La Crosse, Wis. native, who served in India and China during World War II with the 14th Air Force as a member of the "Flying Tigers." There are business cards, advertisements, and menus collected in India; a "war-time emergency label" from a Cadbury chocolate bar; an issue of the "Pointer's Pup" newspaper (February 24, 1943); an issue of the Eagle magazine devoted to World War II (July 1943), and a brochure for the China-Burma-India Veterans Association. Materials for the Third Annual Convention of the Air Force Association (1949) include a schedule of events and a list of those attending. Newspaper clippings provide information about Colvin's military service, other soldiers from La Crosse, and military comics. Photographs depict B-24s and other bombers and their air crews, and group photographs of Colvin's comrades. Also included are pictures of Indian buildings, cities, and natives, and copy prints of hand-drawn portraits made by Colvin of his brothers-in-arms.|
