Scrapbooks of newspaper clippings compiled by Leonore Poplaski (nee Selissen), a Green Bay, Wisconsin, resident who served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. The collection includes seven scrapbooks of newspaper clippings documenting her time in the WAAC and also the weddings of women she knew, mainly from the Green Bay area. Scrapbooks 1-4 (Box 1) document several weddings, most of which were military weddings that occurred during the war, and serves as a good genealogical resource from the Green Bay area. Scrapbooks 5-7 (Box 2) are comprised of articles pertaining to where she was stationed during her service and the participation of WAC members in general. Scrapbook 5 pertains mainly to her time at Truax Field (Madison, Wisconsin); scrapbook 6 includes articles about Chanute Air Force Base (Illinois), and scrapbook 7 features articles about WACs in the service and her service in general. The loose folder includes a copy of her obituary, article clippings about women soldiers, a postcard, a request to be transferred with her husband, and a loose article about Bob Hope.
